Established
in 1977 as Andrews Asbury and Robert, Inc., the firm was originally
named for its founders: John A. Andrews, P.E., Charles “Ted” Asbury, P.E.,
and the late John B. Robert, P.E. Andrews
Asbury and Robert, Inc. (AAR) opened its first office in September
1977. Through a series of mergers and divestitures in the late 1990s, Andrews Asbury and Robert, Inc. and Larkin Associates, Inc. (established in Kansas City in 1946) ultimately became Larkin Group NM, Inc., a New Mexico corporation. Also during this time, Larkin Group NM relocated its offices to its current location at One Executive Center, near Wyoming and Menaul, just east of the uptown business district in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Larkin Group NM is now led by Firm Principals John A. Andrews, P.E. and David V. Owsley, P.E.
